Why Does it happen during Peri/Menopause:
Declining levels of estrogen and testosterone can reduce arousal, sensitivity, and sexual motivation.
However, libido is also influenced by various other factors, including mood, sleep quality, stress, relationships, and body image. Additionally, if you experience pain or discomfort during sex, it’s completely natural to feel less interested or even avoid intimacy altogether. These factors can all be directly or indirectly affected by hormonal changes.
Just as the causes of low libido vary from woman to woman, so too will the best approach to managing it. Together, we can explore the most effective path forward for you.
