Ally Health members are required to be 18+, reside in Australia and hold a valid Medicare card.

Sign up here to get started. You will be contacted by a patient care professional from Ally Health who can answer any of your questions and assist with the onboarding process.  You will receive a questionnaire to help us better understand your health history, symptoms and primary concerns.  Based on this, you will be matched your dedicated women’s health GP, and your initial consultation scheduled.

All Ally Health doctors are General Practioners (GPs) who have undergone rigorous training and assessment in order to achieve fellowship with the  Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.  In general, fellowed GPs are recognised for their advanced skills, knowledge, and expertise in providing comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients.

In addition, Ally Health doctors are highly experienced in managing women’s health conditions.  They have been handpicked not only for their extensive medical knowledge but also for their strong communication skills and empathetic bedside manner.

No.  Ally Health is dedicated to providing you personalised care for a broad range of women’s health conditions.  However, if you require management of other conditions, you should attend your regular GP.  With your permission, we are happy  to collaborate with your regular GP to ensure both Ally Health and your GP are aligned, and any treatment initiated is done with your overall health goals in mind.

No.  Ally Health is a telehealth service, and consultations will be performed via video call. If a physical examination is required your Ally Health doctor will provide referrals to an in-person provider of your choice and obtain the findings to include in your Ally Health medical file.

Yes! All ALLY Health GPs have extenstive experience in prescribing MHT. If MHT is recommended following assessment, your GP can provide a prescription for body identical MHT.

You will receive prescirptions electronically (either via email or text) during your consultation.  You can fill these prescriptions by showing the digital prescription to your local pharmacy (no need to print).

There’s no Medicare or health insurance rebate for the subscription fee, as it covers services and materials provided outside of your consultations. However, all GP consultations are fully bulk billed, so you won’t pay anything extra for your appointments.

Given that the first consultation is 40–60 minutes long, many women find that the out-of-pocket costs for a similar appointment with a regular GP or specialist GP clinic would actually be much higher ALLYs subscription fee. On top of that, you’ll receive ongoing support and additional consultations throughout your entire care plan, all included in your subscription.

While many of the conditions we treat are well suited to telehealth, occasionally there may be a need to be physically examined.  If this is necessary, we can work with doctor or provider of your choice, or we can refer you one of our trusted local providers We work with these providers to ensure your care remains connected and seamless.

Not at all!  We offer a standard 3-month plan as a starting point because this aligns with the time needed to see if certain treatments are effective. This period allows us to work closely with you to address any side effects, fine-tune your dosages, or change our approach entirely if you have not achieved symptom control.

Once you finish your first three months, the choice is entirely yours. We will provide you with a detailed care plan that you can share with your regular GP to continue your journey. Alternatively, if you find you value the extra support and easy access at Ally Health, we have various extension options available depending on what you need next.

Absolutely. If you have a regular GP who can continue your care, we’ll support this by providing a clear summary of everything we’ve discussed, any investigations carried out, and the treatments we’ve initiated. Many women with a good relationship with their GP choose this pathway:  they just want a bit of extra guidance with perimenopause or menopause management before returning to their usual doctor.

Definitely. We understand that many women don’t have a regular GP, and our model is designed to ensure ongoing access to care when it’s needed. You’re welcome to continue with your ALLY Health doctor for long-term management and support.

Yes. All ALLY Health doctors are highly experienced in initiating and managing MHT, including all types and formulations of body-identical MHT. However, this is not the only approach we take. We discuss all appropriate management options, which may include non-hormonal therapies, lifestyle interventions, allied health support (e.g. pelvic floor therapy, psychology), and complementary medicines. We pride ourselves on offering a holistic, evidence-based approach to care.

If it’s appropriate (and it often is) we can prescribe medication at your very first visit. This means that even with a 1-month plan, there’s time to review your progress at no extra cost. In some cases, we may recommend investigations to help guide treatment decisions, and these can also be arranged at your first appointment.
